This project was initally done to help the developer win over City Hall on a complete rennovation or "rebuild" of a historical landmark on Fox Lake.

Originally built in 1884 this place has quite a history with visits by Al Capone and wealthy vacationers from Chicago each summer.Its latest claim to fame has been the 4th of July Fireworks show each year that is one of the best in the state.

It ended this year when the owner decided he no longer wanted to take on the city with what was really a privately funded show put on by The MIneola. It will be missed. Plans to sell and put a new Hotel on the property are in the works.
